Sulfate of potash has many industrial applications. It is important to the production of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, ceramics, and many construction materials including high-quality drywall material. When added to the gypsum core, GSLM's potassium sulfate reacts chemically with the gypsum and dramatically speeds up the drying process. Unlike other materials, it contains practically no chloride to retain moisture or interfere with final product set.
