Chlori-Mag is an efficient additive for wheat growers in most wheat-producing areas of the country that are more than 200 miles from the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans or the Gulf of Mexico. It is easily applied and protects wheat from chloride deficiency.
Chloride in the soil
Because chloride ions are negatively charged, they are not attracted to clay or organic matter in the sandy, well-drained soils of these areas and will leach away. This can create a chloride deficiency that exposes crops to moisture and disease stress, resulting in lower yields and profitability.
Wheat requires 0.4 percent chloride in the entire plant during the boot-to-flowering stage to achieve full growth potential. Adequate chloride in wheat will:
- Maximize photosynthesis and enzyme activation.
- Increase leaf tugor potential.
- Accelerate plant development.
- Increase water movement in cells.
- Reduce late-season lodging of grain.
- Suppress disease and increase disease tolerance.

Application
Chlori-Mag liquid fertilizer is compatible to be tank mixed with most herbicides and fungicides, making application extremely efficient.
Chlori-Mag also provides crops with the micro-nutrient magnesium, which strengthens a plant's antivirus property as well as increases the amount of exchangeable nitrogen, phosphate and potassium in certain soil.
